Pokerplex is part of the iPoker network. As such you will play against players from any of the iPoker skins. The iPoker network use 'PlayTech' software which is simple and clear enough to use, but aesthetically it doesn't work too well and it doesn't offer anywhere near the same range of features of some other sites, such as Full Tilt.
WINDOWS VISTA USERS BEWARE: iPoker software will NOT work on Windows Vista (unless you're very lucky!). If you contact support helplines of the sites on the network you might be able to make a fix work, but it's probably more hassle than it's worth.

TABLES
The tables are fairly clear and make it easy to see what's happening, although the rake taken is not displayed. The avatars that are used to represent each player are nice enough but most are obscurred by the player information bar. Options are easily accessible which is important and overall the software makes playing a pleasure, not a chore. Multitable players might not be quite as impressed. Despite the fact that there is a toggle button to make each table go to a small view, the smaller version isn't too hot, particuarly because the cards become very small. Also make sure that you don't try toggling between the different views in the middle of a hand because it can take a second or two to work. Tables with a maximum of 6 players for some reason have 10 seats visible, which doesn't make it very clear. Whilst playing cash games the amount of action points that you are earning is shown on top of your own player info bar which can be a little annoying. There may well be times where mistake it for your balance.
AVATARS
The avatars are quite deceiving. At first they seem like they are a nice touch. And in a way they are. But they have a dark side. You need to make sure that you get used to the fact that any avatar could be anyone at one time. You do not choose an avatar and stick with it, rather your postion at the table dictates what you will look like. If you find yourself making any link between the visual of the avatar and the style of your opponent's play, make sure you stop it. If you happen to miss a player getting up and another sitting in his place, it can be misleading, particuarly as the player name displays are quite small.
LOBBY
The lobby area is similar to that of the Microgaming software used by the Prima Poker Network. It's pretty simple to use and provides all the necessary information for picking your table. But it's nothing special. The games selection tree is a bit cumbersome and could have been done much better.
HAND HISTORY
iPoker's hand history is one of the best. It can take a little getting used to but the information it provides is awesome, and it does it in a very clear way.
PLAYER NOTES
The notes system is pretty annoying. It's easy to add notes for any of your opponents by adding clicking on their name, but that's about where the quality ends. Once you have made a note on an opponent, every time you roll over their name the notes appear. We don't think this is really necessary, but it's down to personal preference and you may like it. The space that is available is excruitiatingly small, and if you go over it you get a scroll bar that is pretty fiddly. It can also be really annoying to add in more notes to a player that already has some, as getting the cursor in the right place can be far more difficult than it needs to be.
WINDOWS VISTA
Be aware that you may well have problems if you are trying to install an iPoker skin on a PC with windows vista. If you have done this we would really apprecitate any reports of whether the software worked or not. You may want to take a look at a help file provided by BET365.
